Monster Mash ‘Slips’ in to Harbour Estate
Over 21,000 people enjoyed a host of fun activities at the ‘Hallowe’en Metro Monster Mash’ in Belfast Harbour Estate last month.
Young and old were enthralled by the street theatre shows, wacky walk-about entertainers and breath-taking fire shows during the day at The Slipways, Titanic Belfast, with approximately 4,000 enjoying the spectacular fireworks display – one of the biggest in Northern Ireland – at the end of the event from the banks of the River Lagan.
Organised by Belfast City Council and sponsored by Translink, with the support of Citybeat Radio, the event also included live music from Conor Scott – star of BBC One’s ‘The Voice’ programme – and local band Freefall.
Taking place on Sunday, 27th October, this was the first time the Metro Monster Mash has taken place at the Titanic Slipways. The Lord Mayor of Belfast, Councillor Máirtin Ó Muilleoir, launched the event and described it as one of the highlights of Belfast City Council’s events calendar.
