NIFRS to Hold Emergency Training Exercise at BP Oil Terminal, Belfast Harbour
Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) is holding a training exercise on Sunday 13 March 2016 at the BP Oil Terminal, Airport Road West from 7am to 5pm.
Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) is holding a training exercise on Sunday 13 March 2016 at the BP Oil Terminal, Airport Road West in Belfast Harbour Estate from 7am to 5pm.
During this exercise there will be an increased presence of emergency personnel in the area. The purpose of the exercise is to allow NIFRS to test the operational response, procedures and resilience of their High Volume Pumping Appliances during a simulated major fire scenario.
Emergency Fire & Rescue cover in the area will not be affected and roads will remain open at all times.
Partner agencies and organisations involved in the training exercise include Belfast Harbour, BP Oil, Harbour Police, George Best Belfast City Airport and the British Red Cross.
