LIQUID BULK

More than 2.3 million tonnes of liquid bulk products are handled at Belfast Harbour annually, including petrol, diesel and home heating oil representing over 80% of Northern Ireland’s total imports of these products.

DRY BULK

Belfast Harbour is Northern Ireland’s leading dry bulk port with over 6.5 million tonnes of dry bulk products handled annually including animal feeds, coal, fertiliser, scrap metal, stones and cement.

BREAK BULK

Belfast Harbour has made significant capital investment in purpose built storage accommodation for each of the major break bulk commodities.

488,000 tonnes of break bulk goods are handled in Belfast each year including printing paper, timber and steel products, some of which is regularly supplied the Republic of Ireland.
